Peace 4 - Genealogy & Drama
** NEW PROJECT ALERT **
KWC has been appointed as the selected Tender to supply Ards North Down Borough Council the genealogy and drama project for Peace 4 across the Borough.
Computer based workshops aimed at showing people how to research their family tree and associated family history using the internet. The essence of genelogy is tracing your family line from youirself backwards confirming each generation wherever possible by published records. Each particpant will be searching (with tutors help) for their ancestors and their relevant records in every session with the aim of getting them back several generations to the early 1800s or with a bit of luck even earlier.
Sessions are not limited to the information below and are particpant led.
- The starting point is finding out what you know
- Getting organised
- Who has been before them
- The important records and where to look for them
- The main Record Offices- PRONI and the National Archives
- Putting the family tree online and DNA
If you have a group of 6 or more individuals interested and have a designated meeting area, we can come to you for programme delivery!
